Hotel Playa La Arena

I spent four nights here in my motorhome, 19/05/2025 - 23/05/2025, and really enjoyed the quiet. At the time, all I could hear below was the sound of the waves, which was lovely to fall asleep to. Things may be different at the height of the tourist season, but it was perfect for me. The site was clean and tidy throughout, a credit to the maintenance team. Showers were spotless with lots of hot water, and the toilets and washing facilities were excellent. About 40 steps lead down to the beach. There's a tap and cold shower at the top for washing sand off when you come back.

We liked it enough to change our plans and stay put until we sail home. We had originally meant to spend only a night or two, and we're now here for our last few days. We got in easily enough with our 7.5m motorhome and high roof, and there were no low trees to worry about. The staff are welcoming, and there's a lovely restaurant and well-stocked shop on site. Steps lead straight down to an amazing little beach with beautiful, clear water. We'd definitely return.

We paid 36,50€/ night for a tent, car and two people, which seemed fair for what you get. The location is really good, right by a beautiful beach. The showers and baths are amazing, and I saw them being cleaned about three times a day.

The pitches are basic, but those gorgeous sunsets more than made up for that. We arrived around sunset and immediately loved the ocean view, though a row of white caravans had the best spots and blocked some of it 😛 The shop is fantastic and has everything you need. A staircase takes you down to the beach, with an outdoor shower along the way to rinse the sand from your feet on the way back. The bathroom facilities were great, with good showers and plenty of space. We also enjoyed a 5km walk along the shore.
