There are plenty of nearby supermarkets and some excellent places to eat, and I’d be happy to return. We were there in February '26 as part of a package holiday, and Aguamar felt like fair value. Check-in was good, with friendly, knowledgeable reception staff. The room looked a bit tired in places, but everything worked. The pull-out sofa bed was uncomfortable and really needed a mattress topper. There’s no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan. That wasn’t a problem in February, but might be in July. You can hire portable units locally, though check with reception. The pool area was spotless each morning, but the flooring is very slippery. Sun loungers are free, mattresses cost 3 euro a day. Wi-Fi is free only around reception and the pool bar, and relatively expensive elsewhere. Keep an eye on the extras.

Good value, with a nice atmosphere and pleasant spaces throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Aggy at the desk, who was approachable and really good at the job. The pool was good. There’s no air con, but the fans are strong. The bar and restaurant looked good, though I didn’t eat there. No complications or hidden charges, and I’d stay again. It’s about a 15-minute stroll to the beach, a little farther than I’d prefer next time, but there’s plenty around. One small thing: there was no shower gel or refillable option in the room. They did provide a cleaning pack with a tea towel, new dishcloths and washing liquid. A couple of small shower gels would’ve been handy. Cheers.

I wouldn’t come back. The rooms get VERY HOT because there’s no air con, though the cleaners do a great job. There’s only one iron, it seems, and staff ring for it back after twenty minutes, then lecture you each time you return it. The lifeguard needs better manners and should actually watch what’s happening in the pool. Getting a sun lounger is a race: they don’t come out until 10:00am and are put away and chained up again at 5:30pm. Wi-Fi in the room costs extra unless you can get a chair around the bar, where it’s free.

Had a nice stay and would use it again. If you want a clean, decent-sized apartment for the family to sleep in, it’s a good budget base. The pool was nice, but Wi-Fi is very expensive. I didn’t eat at the hotel, so can’t comment on the food. There isn’t much for kids or families to do there, with no games room or evening entertainment, so it wouldn’t suit anyone after a luxury holiday packed with activities. Tenerife excursions felt expensive, and eating and drinking isn’t as cheap as it used to be either.

We stayed for ten days in April, five of us across two rooms. It’s a basic, very clean three-star, but charging €100 for five people to use Wi-Fi for the whole stay is ridiculous. Free Wi-Fi is limited to a small room. The loungers are a struggle: you need to be down by 9:15am to get your preferred spot when they’re put out at 10am. On weekends only two staff set them out, and they’re chained in a stack so guests can’t help themselves. Mattresses cost extra. Staff start stacking the loungers around 4pm, throwing them on top of each other with such a bang that it often startled me while I was relaxing or napping. The lifeguard sits in a cabin at the back and can’t physically see 70% of the pool. It feels like they’re there for calls for help more than to watch for danger. One family played loud music all day without being stopped. One receptionist on duty isn’t enough during busy arrivals. Breakfast was okay, very basic, and the tomato ketchup was horrible. My biggest complaint, which ruined the holiday but was outside the hotel’s control, was the public recycling bins and bottle banks out front. Our bedroom faced them, and they made noise all night. The bin lorries emptied them around 1am-3am, waking me every night. With no air con, the room was too hot to keep the windows shut, even in April. I’d hate to think how hot it gets in peak summer. There are plenty of nice places to eat and bars, though this area feels quite run down compared with Costa Adeje.
