BAL Apartments - Adults Only

We stayed for four and a half weeks and felt at home here. BAL Apartments has around 12 apartments, an outdoor pool and a washing machine downstairs; our apartment had everything we needed. The staff were wonderful and helped whenever we asked. They even brought us a microwave on request. The apartment and building were spotless, bright and airy. The bed was comfortable, the large walk-in shower was great, and there were his and hers sinks. There's also a double sofa bed in the living area, enough storage, and both air conditioning and heating. We felt safe here, including as a solo traveller. Check-in was easy, with clear messages and codes for the building and apartment, plus passes inside. The location is hard to beat. The beach, shops, restaurants, supermarkets and bus stops are all a 2-5 minute walk away, yet the apartment sits on a really quiet cul-de-sac. You can hear the sea and birds in the garden next door, but otherwise very little noise, day or night. Alpha Gym is at the open end of the cul-de-sac. Room 202 gets sun from noon to sunset, while the apartment itself stays cool. The balcony is huge, with sea views ahead and Mount Teide to the side. A few things to bear in mind for a longer stay: bring tea towels and dishcloths, and expect to buy your own cleaning products, kitchen roll and toilet paper at a local supermarket. It's self-catering, with bedding and towels changed every few days but no cleaning service. A hoover and mop with a bucket are available downstairs by the washing machine. The TV has no UK channels except news, and streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon and YouTube would be useful. Doors closing in other apartments can be loud, and you sometimes hear people walking around. It was mostly fine, though a few times the noise carried on into the early hours. The balcony and pool loungers are uncomfortable, and there are no cushions to lie on. I'd prefer cushioned sunbeds. I also found myself wanting a blind for the frosted window between the lounge and bedroom, plus a curtain for the opening, so two people could spend time in separate areas. I felt at home enough to start redesigning things, lol! Still, I'd highly recommend BAL Apartments and will definitely return to see the BAL Family.

The apartment and location were just what we wanted. My only complaint is the shower was so good I wasted a lot of holiday time under it. I'd have one installed at home in the UK, but my water bills would be astronomical!

The beach is a one minute walk away, and the nearest restaurant is only 30 seconds away. I loved the apartments: roomy for two, modern, tidy and very clean. Such a great location. We'll definitely book again. ☺️

The terrace was sunny and never windy, with plenty of room. The apartments are new and well looked after, and the place is clean and spacious. There was also plenty of parking around if you have a car. It's close to everything we needed, including an ATM, shops, clubs, the sea and restaurants, but far enough from the noise.
