Hotel Best Tenerife

The food was good, with plenty of variety. Rooms were super clean and well presented. It’s a great place for families, though if you want a spot by the pool, you’ll need to get there early. The rooftop terrace is lovely, but access costs €10 a day unless you’re in a premium room. When leaving, you need to book the shower room, so get in early for that too. The lifts can be a pain, with only three in constant use.

The food was the same every day, and you have to pay for all the good drinks. The mini bar isn’t included in all-inclusive either, so read the details carefully. The tower exchange area was always there, but it was supposed to be open from 9 to 14.00. One of the toilets in the pool area had no door, which shocked me. I travel around the world every year and have never seen anything like it. The pool water wasn’t very clean, with stones and debris visible in it. The slabs around the pool were cracked and definitely needed renovating. Service overall was quite poor. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We paid extra to have food and drinks included in the room, and were glad we did. I could finally enjoy an alcoholic drink while watching the shows in the performance rooms. There was a huge choice at every meal, from waffles, pancakes, yoghurt, fresh fruit and juice to meats, cheese, chips, chicken and sausages. They also had Curry night, Asian night and Italian nights. The food was amazing. It was our family’s first time abroad and everything worked perfectly for us. The rooms were spotless whenever they were cleaned each day, and the location was great, about a 10-15-minute walk down to the beach. All the staff went above and beyond to help. I can’t rate the hotel highly enough, and we’ll definitely go again.

The staff made a big difference to our stay, especially the housekeeping and restaurant teams, who were consistently welcoming and went out of their way to help. Margot hosted entertainment most nights and did a brilliant job keeping everyone involved. Gediminas from the restaurant team was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Our kids looked forward to seeing him at every meal. We had full board, and the buffet exceeded our expectations, with lots of choices at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food quality and range were excellent throughout. Our room was comfortable and well maintained, with a lovely balcony. The location was convenient too, close to the Golden Mile strip and a short walk from the beaches. The pool area was clean and enjoyable, and the evening entertainment was a highlight for the family. We had a wonderful stay at Best Tenerife and would happily return. Our experience was positive from start to finish, despite the negative reviews we’d seen. It’s highly recommended for families wanting a handy location, good service, and a fun atmosphere.
