Apartamentos Granada Park

The location was handy, between Los cristianos and Las Americas. Either resort is about a 20-minute walk, or you can get a taxi at the rank at the bottom of the hill. The hotel itself is uphill, as is common in tenerife, so keep that in mind if you’re travelling with older people or young children. We had a lovely week with the family. The pools are decent, but some of the flooring is coming up, especially in the small pool, so make sure kids wear water shoes. Rooms are clean and have what you need for a self-catering holiday, though they can get warm because there’s no air con. There’s a little shop on site, which I think gets bread and eggs delivered on Wednesdays. The small cafe/bar is reasonably priced, everyone is friendly, and it stays open until about 9 pm. We had a great time and will be back.

The free buses to the beach were useful, and there’s a small restaurant/bar, pools, and a free parking option if you’re driving. Follow the little uphill road next to the hotel, turn right, then look for the gravel spaces. At check-in they give you a gate key for €10, which they pay back afterward, so you can get straight from the parking area to the apartments. We tried the food at the bar, and it was okay and relatively cheap. We stayed six nights in a pool-view room. The reception and rooms have an 80s-90s decor feel and could use an upgrade. It didn’t feel clean enough to me: the floor was dirty and there was no dish soap. They changed towels whenever we asked, but after walking barefoot around the apartment my feet were black and dusty. There’s a living room TV with English channels, a sofa bed, and a balcony. The kitchen has an electric cooker, kettle with a British plug, toaster, microwave, and basic dishes and appliances. The bathroom has a hair dryer. In the bedroom, the two beds are pushed together, the pillows are really uncomfortable, and the blankets have no sheets, so they felt a bit musty. There’s another balcony off the bedroom. What really baffled me was the lack of AC. To avoid the heat, you can rent a portable unit from €80 😂. The WiFi annoyed me too: for a week it’s €20 PER DEVICE. Sorry, it’s 2026, WiFi should be included.

The snack bar on site was fine, and the pizza and cheese toastie were good. The shop is okay, though you’re probably better off buying supplies and taking them back to your room. The apartments are spacious, tidy, and clean, with a huge south-facing balcony. The main downside is that there are no plugs near the beds, and WiFi is only available at reception. It’s a bit out of the way, but a nice walk at night. We took a taxi back, which cost €7-€9.

The location is nice and quiet, and close to good places. But we’ve had water problems and couldn’t shower for hours, which just wasn’t good. We’re staying for a week and weren’t told about the WiFi charge until we got here. It’s €20 per device and should just be included. The rooms are dirty, the bathroom smelled, and the floors were filthy. The beds are uncomfortable, the pillows are awful, and there are only bedsheets, no duvets. The charger is a long way from the beds, which is annoying. The AC doesn’t work, and the ceiling fan is broken and sounds like it might fall when switched on. We saved some food from the food bar for later, but when we opened it a few hours on, there were ants all through it. That’s very unhygienic.
