La Casona de Arona

The rooms were very clean, and the price was extremely reasonable. What stood out most was the calm, friendly atmosphere and how beautifully maintained everything was. It really felt like being at home, and this was the best hotel experience I’ve had after so many trips. The owner, Edvardo, and his wife were incredibly kind and welcoming. Every evening he took time to chat with guests, ask about their day, and offer useful recommendations. We found several lovely local places thanks to him. Breakfast wasn’t included in what we paid for, but there’s a small room by the outdoor garden and pool with milk, cornflakes, butter, jam, and toast. Fresh pastries are put out every morning, too. It’s a simple breakfast like the one many of us eat every day, so no need to worry about it while planning your trip. That kind of hospitality felt special to me.

The host, Eduardo, was attentive and helpful, and check-in was quick with a door code. There’s a bus stop and supermarket nearby, and the facilities are good. Breakfast is complimentary.

The little breakfast treats made mornings easier than expected. There were croissants, including chocolate ones, and coffee available, even though they weren’t specifically mentioned in the package. It meant we didn’t have to figure out where to eat right away, and we could even skip breakfast and have an early lunch instead.

I was drawn in by the low price, the positive reviews, and what looked like a convenient location. But stepping inside was a surprise: the photos don’t really capture the beauty or atmosphere of this historic building, and it smells absolutely lovely. This may not suit you if you want all-inclusive service, entertainment programs, bars, pools with slides, and other leisure activities. I’d say it’s well worth visiting if you like discovering atmospheric historic places and meeting interesting, incredibly kind people.
