Dinner at ORIJAMA Restaurant was one of the best parts of our stay. The food was excellent, and the chef and team were welcoming, fun, and helped make the meal memorable. Reception staff were lovely and accommodating throughout, and the check-in and bar staff were great when we arrived. I heard good things about the spa and gym, though I didn't use them myself. The hotel and views were beautiful, but the entertainment was a big letdown. The entertainment room was nearly empty whenever we went, so we usually left. Even at the foam party, the team seemed more interested in chatting by the pool than involving guests. It was a very quiet hotel, better for relaxing with a book than looking for daytime activities. I wouldn't stay again. Our larger group visited in June. The location worked well, with a 24-hour mini market about a 15-minute walk away. There wasn't a hotel shop, and dinner ended at 9pm, so ordering online was the only other food option. The rooms were a good size but fairly basic. Our fridge kept leaking and spoiled some leftovers. The beds were average. Two companions in their late 80s had a room with no air conditioning and it became unbearably hot. Reception refused to move them and said the problem was fixed when it wasn't. TUI eventually provided an air conditioning unit for the rest of their stay. One balcony door wouldn't lock, which was worrying since the room could be entered from the pool area. Reception couldn't help right away because of the time, which I understood, but they said it was fixed the next morning when it still wasn't. We had to call again before it was actually sorted. The TV had only around 4-5 working channels, and the Wi-Fi was very poor. It worked reliably only in the lounge, and for some people in our group it didn't work at all. Housekeeping was disappointing too, often seeming to consist of making beds and replacing towels. The cocktails tasted awful, as if they came from premade boxes, and some drinks were so strong they were undrinkable.

I loved the area, and it was an easy walk to the promenade and Playa Las Americas. There was plenty of buffet food, lots of room by the pool, and the heated green pool was lovely. The Japanese tasting evening was really fun, though a bit rushed. I bought the matching wines but couldn't drink them quickly enough between courses. I'd still recommend the evening without the wine. The room was the problem. It was spacious but so noisy, with what seemed like no soundproofing. I was moved from c107 above the kitchen, but the neighbours in the second room were just as loud. The new shower room was lovely, recently fitted, with a powerful shower. Wi-Fi was bad, so I couldn't watch TV. That's not a huge deal on holiday, but it makes you wonder why there's a TV in the room. I'm not sure I'd come back because I couldn't get a good night's sleep, even though I liked the location.

We'd definitely return. The food was fresh and good, the pool area was well kept and sunny for most of the day, and there's something for everyone at the snack bar, though the choices there are a bit limited. The all-inclusive drinks were pretty standard. The family suites are huge, and the golf course side has the better view. The swim-up rooms face the road, and the “swim-up” is really more of a plunge pool shared across about five or six rooms. It's a lovely hotel, close to local bars and a few beaches in different directions. The Anchor in playas las americas is a great bar, about a 10-minute walk to the right as you leave the hotel. Videos on YouTube don't do the hotel justice.

The pools were lovely, the location was peaceful but still convenient, and both the entertainment team and dining room staff were amazing. A taxi to the Hard Rock Cafe was only around €6. Even so, this first all-inclusive holiday was a letdown because several problems weren't handled well. Ants had infested our room. When we told reception, staff were rude and blamed us, saying we shouldn't eat in the room, rather than arranging treatment or acknowledging the problem. That made us uncomfortable for the rest of the trip. We'd ordered breakfast to the room for our 3am transfer, but felt too intimidated to touch it after that exchange and left it in the fridge. My mother is diabetic and had to travel without breakfast. The room had a full kitchen with a fridge, microwave, stove, pots, pans, and utensils, even though we mostly ate at the buffet. The resort also lost Wi-Fi for 2-3 days during the first few days of our stay. Bingo was cancelled more than once, with no backup plan, so guests were left waiting around until the main show at 9:45pm. At the snack bar, birds kept landing by the food and even eating from the serving tongs while staff tried to chase them away. The hotel has potential, but the way some reception staff handled concerns really spoiled the experience.

We just got back from marylanza Tenerife. The room was beautiful and cool, with a huge balcony, sun loungers, and a table and chairs. We ate at the pool bar buffet all week. The food there was really good, freshly cooked, and had plenty of choice, as did the main food selection. The whole hotel and pool area were very clean, with no rubbish around. They also enforce the rules: no reserving sunbeds, and towels left on beds are removed. Food isn't allowed around the pool, and smoking and vaping aren't allowed either. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's a supermarket opposite, along with bars and restaurants if you fancy a change. Definitely recommend.
