Absolutely disgusting. The room smelled bad, the toilet wouldn't flush properly, and the mattress and sheets had dried bodily fluids and dead bugs. There was also hair and rubbish left by previous guests. When I asked the owner to clean, they did nothing the first time, just rearranged the dirty sheets. The second time, they shouted, acted aggressively, and slammed doors. The place felt both dirty and dangerous.

The towels and sheets smelled damp and stale, and the apartment was much more like a bunker than the inviting place shown in the photos. We hadn't checked the Google reviews and had trusted the Booking.com ones, which seemed fine. On arrival, the owner said the cleaning lady had been fired, apparently to explain why the floor was still dirty and jelly beans were scattered around. The apartment is below ground, reached by going down several flights of stairs. Its windows are very high, so air doesn't circulate well, and only a small loft window opens. There are no curtains on the high windows, so passers-by can see inside. The bathroom has no ceiling, meaning everyone can hear and smell what is happening there. Unbelievable. In Italy, this would not have been possible. The induction hob was faulty and hard to turn on and off. The pans weren't suitable for it, and there were only enough dishes for two people. We didn't use the pool. It sits in front of another apartment, leaving those occupants with no privacy. The photos are beautiful and inviting, but leave out the reality. We never expected to have booked a bunker.

We had a wonderful five days in this self-catering place. It's in a strategic spot, close to everything in town, and the property is beautiful and well kept. The owner was very kind and always available. Our three little girls loved it.
