Modern studio in complex Paraiso Royal, LA95

The location and price were great, but cleanliness was a problem. We had ants and cockroaches, and the sheets didn’t seem as clean as they should have been.

We stayed in a private one-bedroom apartment, and the complex was tidy, with well-kept gardens. The pool area was clean and pleasant, and the pool bar served super cold beer. It’s within walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants, though being so close could be an issue if you want to be asleep by 9pm. It was generally quiet by midnight. I’d stay again.

The beds are rock hard, the drains stink, and you wake up numb, hardly able to stand. There’s no quilt, just tiny square pillows meant for settees, and I know it’s a sofa bed, but if it can be left clean for us, why not provide proper pillows? The apartments are tiny, and the remotes get lost so quickly. For that price, they can’t even provide water. In the bathrooms and living rooms, there were cockroaches, and we found dead ones outside our apartment too. The front was filthy, with wrappers, dirt, and food all around the flowers. The pool had bits of foam everywhere, the bathrooms were dirty, and there were socks on the walls. Sleeping was a whole mission with a Rihanna concert right in front of the house. The only reason I gave the location a 3 is that after a five-minute walk, the area is actually decent. I went to my neighbour’s apartment to ask for milk. They’re a family member, and the first thing I saw was a little cockroach running around. I told the others, and they came in to pull out the sofa bed. We hit it as hard as we could with brushes, but it wouldn’t budge. When we did pull it out, there was a yellow-stained mattress, and that cockroach seemed embedded there. It didn’t move when we came in, then started running, hid under an ironing board leg, and disappeared under the couch. Disgraceful. Try harder.
