Paloma Beach

The apartment was roomy and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the whole place was incredibly clean. We chose the hotel for its affordable price for a couple of days and ended up feeling very lucky with our choice. The pool was a pleasure to relax by, with clean water and no chlorine smell. It was peaceful and quiet around the hotel too. We came away with a great impression and will definitely return.

The pool was sooooo warm, and the accommodation itself was fantastic. Staff were really friendly, and the location worked well, with shops and restaurants close by and the seafront just one street away. There were apparently a few robberies outside buildings nearby while we were there, and I heard the people responsible were caught. Something to keep in mind, but otherwise it was fantastic. 5 stars.

This is my second stay here. The apartments are clean and well looked after, and the pool gets sun all day. There’s a bar and restaurant right beside it that serves food throughout the day, including a proper English breakfast whenever you want one. They also make the best strawberry daiquiri in the area. A really relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.

The apartment was spacious, with enough equipment for self-catering, and the settee was wonderfully comfortable. Cleaning supplies were provided, and towels were replaced every other day. There are two supermarkets nearby, one Spanish and one English, plus several cafes and bars. Market Tavern was particularly good. The beach is close, and the Arona Gran hotel nearby is an easy landmark for finding your way back. We arrived late after a passport problem at the airport, where nothing was working, but reception was sort of still open. Night security had left an envelope with the key and instructions. We’d asked almost a year ahead for our two apartments to be near each other, but that wasn’t arranged. The apartments vary: mine had a bath and tiny balcony, while my colleague’s had a smaller lounge, no shower, and a huge sunny balcony. The numbering makes little sense, so you have to learn where to go. Mine was number 10, and the apartment next door was 73. My bed was hard, and there were only twin beds pushed together, no double. There are extra charges for things too: the room safe costs 15 euros for a week, a sunbed is 2.5 euros a day, a parasol is another 2.5, and the four-poster-style lounger is 20 euros for a day.
