Sol Tenerife

I traveled on my own and really enjoyed this hotel. It’s a large place, but everything is organized well and runs smoothly. My room was spacious with a sea view, and housekeeping did an excellent job. Breakfast was very good, and the location was fantastic. There’s a great path for walking and running right in front of the hotel. I’d confidently recommend staying here.

The food was honestly fantastic, with a huge range of freshly prepared dishes at every meal. It was better than many other all-inclusive buffets I’ve tried over the years. There was evening entertainment most nights, and every staff member we spoke to was lovely. The hotel is ideally located, with sun on the pool areas all day and a back gate onto the seafront path, making it easy to reach restaurants, shops, and the beach. The main drawback for me was the sunbeds. People claimed them with towels early in the morning, then went out for the day and didn’t use them. The rest of us had to scramble for one when it became free. The pool security guy should keep an eye on this instead of the balls in the pool. Our balcony views were gorgeous, but the rooms were a little dated and short on plug sockets. You could hear everything next door while in the bathroom. If your room faces the Veronica's strip, you may need a few extra nightcaps to sleep. The area can get rowdy, so I probably wouldn’t bring children here. There’s plenty to see and do nearby, but with bars and nightclubs right outside, it isn’t quiet at night. Still, I’d happily stay again. We spent five nights here in May, and although there were a few negatives, none was serious enough to upset us or spoil the holiday.

We paid a little over 400 euros for three nights with bed and breakfast. The place was nice and everything else was good, but I’d booked a sea-view room through booking.com and we were given one with city and sea views instead. We were tired and just carried on without saying anything. I took a video early in the morning. If I come again, I’ll ask about the room before they give it to me. You can decide for yourself.

Some of the negative reviews surprised me because they didn’t match my experience. It’s not a five-star hotel, so it’s good to keep expectations realistic, but the value for the price is outstanding. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it. The location right on the strip was very convenient, but noise wasn’t an issue. Even my boyfriend, who’s quite sensitive to noise, found it manageable. Food quality and variety were excellent, and the entertainment and service were impressive too. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping kept it that way. Even when we didn’t need cleaning, staff checked whether we needed anything else. Everyone was consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating, which made a real difference.
