Spring Hotel Bitácora

The pool setup was great, and we could always find sunbeds. That might be different in peak summer, though. We especially liked the adults-only section, with its large pool and spa-style pool. The pools are heated, though they feel a little cool when you first get in before you acclimatise. We paid to visit UP! twice and loved it. The infinity pool was brilliant, and the drinks and snacks were high quality. We were half-board for nine nights. We usually eat out several times when we come to Tenerife, but we liked the food at The Bitácora enough to eat in every night. It was fresh, with lots of choice, and in our view there was something for everyone. I’d read negative comments about the food and was genuinely surprised. If you can’t find anything to eat, there’s something wrong. The room was immaculate, with comfortable beds, a spotless bathroom, and an excellent shower. The hotel was spotless from the moment we arrived. Reception staff were lovely, welcoming, and helpful. The restaurant and Fun Bar teams were polite, enthusiastic, and friendly. There were occasional waits at busy times, which is to be expected. The staff work incredibly hard and do a fabulous job. Entertainment was a bit hit and miss, with some very good acts and a few more “interesting” ones, but we still had a good time. We’d booked The Bitácora last minute, and my wife only read the reviews afterwards, which made us a little concerned. Those worries disappeared as soon as we arrived. We’ve already booked again for October, this time with the UP package included. We booked directly with the hotel and think we got a better deal. Thanks to everyone at The Bitácora for making our much-needed holiday special. Roll on October!

We loved the lively pool area, with activities and entertainment for adults and kids during the day. The hotel is centrally located, and several lovely beaches are only a 5-10-minute walk away. Our room was cleaned daily and always spotless. The food was delicious and varied, with a different themed dinner each day. Everything was better than we expected. We’d definitely return and highly recommend the hotel.

On my second stay here, the hotel was even better than the first time. The rooms were immaculate and there was an amazing range of food. Daytime activities were fun, with welcoming staff by the pool, and the evening entertainment was good for adults and kids alike. The staff were the nicest I’ve come across on holiday, always helpful and welcoming to guests. Santiago in the restaurant deserves a special mention. It’s an excellent place to stay.

The pools weren’t overcrowded, so we could find a sunbed every day. Meals were much the same, with no big crowds at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, which was nice. Breakfast could run until 11am, though, so I could sleep in longer :) There’s a good food selection and a great entertainment team, with fun competitions. My son loved the slides, basketball area, and game rooms. The hotel is in a very good location, and the entertainment is great.
