We'd happily come back. The house is beautifully equipped, with a big garden and a river right alongside it, and the area is wonderfully quiet. Manoli and Santi were so warm and friendly. Manoli, thanks for all the thoughtful little touches, and Santi, for making our stay such a pleasure and sharing great suggestions for places to visit. You're both lovely!

Having a supermarket just a minute away by car was handy, and the owners were welcoming. The garden is lovely, with parking right outside, but the house needs a thorough clean. We spent our first hour killing insects and huge spiders, with webs in every ceiling corner. We ended up buying insecticide and fumigating the whole place, from the furniture and lamps to the headboards, frames, and bedside table.

The house is well placed for exploring the Baztan Valley, and the village is pretty. The owners are friendly, parking is right outside, and there's a nice garden. The renovated kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable main mattress, good heating and hot water, and nearby Alcampo were all positives. But we spent the first hour killing over 30 spiders. They were on wardrobes, lamps, headboards, and in corners throughout the house. Dead insects were scattered around too, especially inside the fridge, and a spider even crossed the table at dinner. Cobwebs mean spiders. Seal the inside door frames and baseboards with silicone, and clean the fridge and microwave properly. You can't run a rental like this. I've lived in the countryside, and it wasn't like this.

It's a cozy, well laid out house, and the owner was really kind and friendly. The main problem was how dirty it was when we arrived. The kitchen was covered in stains, flies, mosquitoes and other flying insects covered the bathroom lights, and there were cobwebs on the lamps. The stay isn't exactly cheap, so I'd recommend having a professional team give it a proper clean between guests.
