We liked this house and its quiet, well-situated location, especially for the price. I’d rent it again, though there are a few things I’d change. The stairs feel dangerous for children and older people, and safety gates at the top and bottom would help. You can hear the very noisy water pump from the main bedroom whenever a tap runs or the toilet flushes. The shower curtains were moldy and unhygienic, and the microwave timer is broken.
It’s a roomy house with everything needed for a relaxing break, and the owner is very friendly. Getting there is a little tricky, and you’ll need a car, but the location is great for exploring and taking trips around the area. I’d absolutely recommend it.
The price is the best part, and the house is generally fine. But the stairs are quite dangerous for children. At night, the septic tank noise whenever someone flushes the toilet or turns on a tap is annoying enough to wake you. There’s no parking, despite what the listing says. You leave the car outside the house on a street that only leads to it, so no other cars go by. The garden is overgrown and neglected, and you can’t use it.
We found the access a bit awkward, and with more than one car you’ll have to do some off-roading to park the extra one. Still, it’s a newly renovated country house with everything you need for a few days. The decor isn’t quite right, but that’s a small thing. The locals are very friendly. Recommended.
We’ll be back. It’s a beautiful, really spacious house in a great spot for the downhill race or the festival.
