The place is really nice, well located, and currently being renovated. There’s a swimming pool, and plenty of parking spaces around. From here, the sandy beach is a 15-minute walk, Puerto Marina with its boats and restaurants is 25 minutes, and El parque la paloma is 20 minutes away on foot. It’s probably the biggest and loveliest park in the Malaga area. Bonanza square, with pubs offering amazing prices, is up to a 10-minute walk. The cable car to the 770-metre El Calamorro mountain takes about 30 minutes to reach on foot. There’s also a train station for Malaga city, the airport, and other places as far as Fuengirola, plus a bus.

We booked through info@lunarentals.es and had a great two-bedroom, one-bathroom self-catering apartment. The beach is a short walk away, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants close to the two busy, popular squares nearby. Highly recommended.

There’s a great market in Arroyo De La Miel on Friday mornings. El Cordero is a nice restaurant, with a three-course meal for 12 euros, and Arroyo Rail Station is nearby, with the airport only 2 euros away. Bonanza Square is a great area, and drinks at Ibensa Bar are 1 EURO. I’d avoid the 24 hour Square, though, as it’s all kids and problems. The block itself is great and right in the centre.

Good apartment for the price. Sadly, no one mentioned when we booked that the pool closes in the middle of September.
