We waited over an hour before asking them to cancel the last dish and bring the bill. We’d arrived on a motorcycle trip, sat down at the restaurant, ordered, and got our drinks without any problem. We were sharing wrinkled potatoes, stewed Padrón peppers, and fried eggs among four people. The six wrinkled potatoes took 20 minutes to arrive, then the peppers came, and the stew followed another 15 minutes later. It was a children’s portion. They said the delay was because everyone had arrived to eat at once. I think a kitchen that’s organised could serve a meal where most of the food is already ready to heat or fry. A total disappointment, we left hungry.

The receipt we got was just a machine printout with no item list, tax ID, issuer name, or even IGIC (Canary Islands General Indirect Tax). That’s completely irregular. I hope the authorities take notice, since practices like this hurt other professionals and families who depend on the sector and operate legally. We weren’t given a menu when we came in, so there was no way to know the prices until paying. The food itself isn’t better or worse than at thousands of restaurants on the island, but the portions are almost half the size of a decent restaurant’s and the prices are very high. We paid almost 30 euros per person without anything fancy to eat or drink, and we left hungry. I usually eat at village restaurants on weekends, but I won’t return or recommend this place. I was with an elderly person and didn’t feel it was the right time to argue with the owner. The TripAdvisor reviews are quite revealing. I don’t recommend it, it’s one of the worst places I’ve seen on the island.

The waiter and cook were both really friendly. We tried the salad, garlic shrimp, and a stew so delicious we didn’t even stop to take a photo. We’ll be back!

The drive from Maspalomas takes a while, with lots of bends and narrow roads, but once you arrive the views are great. Nice place.
