Albergue Miraiso

I was only staying in the dorm, but they kept checking to see if I needed anything. The gentleman greeted me with the Gypsy Kings playing on his phone, and he was so kind and easy to talk to. Elaine has such a peaceful way about her and is full of kindness. Genuine, clean, quiet, and one of my best rests along the way.

The hospitalero went out of his way to help after I left my necklace and airpods in the room. I messaged him when I noticed, about 4km along the Camino, and he found them. We worked out how I could get them, and he ended up driving them to my next place and handing them over himself. That’s the true spirit of the Camino de Santiago. The albergue had everything we needed and nice beds that made for a great sleep. Thank you for everything!

The host Elaine is charming, kind, and really helpful. The place is very clean, with a large bathroom and a kitchen stocked with the equipment you need, including a microwave and induction hob. You can buy some food there too. It’s right at the start of Arzua, which makes the long walk from Palas del Rei a little easier. I definitely recommend this albergue!

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The hospitalero is welcoming and very helpful, and the shared room has the best beds we’ve found: thick mattresses and pillows, plus a light and PowerPoint at each bed. Toilets and showers are spotless, the washing facilities are great, and the kitchen has the essentials. The common room and outdoor areas are great places to rest. Highly, highly recommended.
