Casa Assumpta

The countryside views were great, and I was glad my Camino agency Pilgrim booked this place for me. It’s a lovely, classy, elegant, cozy place in the rural area of Arzúa, about 4 Km away, which is a rare combination. It’s family run, and the food is delicious, well presented, and prepared. I’d happily come back anytime. I recommend this hotel!

We had dinner at the hotel, and the owner’s cooking was delicious. You could tell it was made with care, and the wine choices were very good. The owner is thoughtful, too. Casa Assumpta was a wonderful surprise, a charming, cozy hotel with nice, roomy rooms. It’s a very good option if you’re staying in Arzua, even though it’s 5km from the city.

Arnau is a wonderful host, and his cooking might be the only thing better than his hospitality. Casa is about 5k south of Arzua, but to our pleasant surprise, Arnau drove us there when we arrived in Arzua, then took us back to the Camino the next morning so we could continue our Camino. Would highly recommend :)

The rooms, the food, the atmosphere, we loved it all. Run by Arnau and his Mum, this place stood out on our Camino Santiago experience. The hospitality was magnificent, and on arrival Arnau served us lovely wine, cheese, and sausage. It’s a beautiful place in beautiful farming country, surrounded by cornfields and crops. Rural hospitality at its peak.
