The place may not impress from the outside, but inside it felt secure, clean, and quiet. I had a room with its own bathroom, and the Wi-Fi was free. The woman in charge was kind and helpful. There’s a coffee bar right next door with handy hours, plus a Burger King if that’s what you’re after. 👍👍👍

The young couple running the place were so welcoming and helpful, and it had a real feel of home. My room was spotless and comfortable, with its own bathroom, and looked recently renovated. The Mediterranean breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from, and was served over extended hours. It’s a quiet, comfortable hotel, with other amenities easy to reach. You can walk to the center of Avilés in no time, and there’s street-level parking suitable for campervans. I stayed for a weekend and found the value for money unbeatable. I highly recommend it if you’re passing through Avilés :)
The staff, especially the cleaning team, were very friendly. For the price, the hostel isn't bad, and the breakfast buffet is decent for what it includes: fruit, toast, cold cuts, pastries, and the like. The rooms are pretty basic, with a TV and one bed or several beds and a bathroom. Most don't have a desk. The beds are hard, and the honey was already expired. I've attached a photo of it. It had been expired for two weeks, which is a serious health issue. They weren't well prepared for gluten intolerance. I was only offered bread and a toaster, with no guaranteed cocoa or coffee. During my stay, the toaster had been contaminated with gluten because other guests hadn't been careful.
