Fátima, who runs the place, is nice, even if she can be a bit absentminded, and she means well. The location’s great, right by the beach and in the centre of Isla Canela, with El Jamón and Covirán supermarkets just steps away. We had the triple room with its own bathroom, but the shared bathroom next door was noisy because its door wouldn’t close properly and people slammed it. That same door doesn’t shut at all. I once opened it by mistake while a girl was showering, thinking nobody was in there, and I couldn’t bring myself to close it. Poor thing! 😅 The room’s shower also leaks badly, leaving puddles. The place has good and bad points, but I found it a bit pricey for what it is. It wasn’t good or bad, just so-so. If I return to Isla Canela, I’ll probably look elsewhere, though I wouldn’t rule out staying here if I can’t find another option. It depends on what you’re after.

The service was pretty good, but the room we got, supposedly a “superior” one, made the stay a nightmare. The area gets very strong winds and the room isn’t equipped for them. The broken blinds rattled loudly, while the uninsulated windows whistled and let drafts in. The facilities really need improvement.

The only bathroom was filthy, with a mop bucket left there to catch water spilling out of the shower. The room was disgusting too. They advertise an exceptional breakfast, though I suppose it is exceptional if you can catch a disease. They also fail to say the bathroom is shared. I’ve attached photos. Booking.com should remove this listing and report it to the health authorities. It’s deplorable that this place is open to the public.

The beach is beautiful and just a minute away, with a supermarket five minutes off and plenty of beach bars nearby. There’s also a pool and a spot to relax, plus a barbecue area. It’s a welcoming, authentic place that feels made with love, and the service is personal, friendly, and exquisite. Great value for money. Highly recommend!
