Ayamonte (Isla Canela)

The best part was how peaceful, quiet, and secure it felt. The place was magnificent, clean, spacious, air-conditioned, and had lots of amenities. There’s a pool and sports courts, and the beaches are 10 minutes away. The Portuguese Algarve is about 20 minutes away.

The pool was usually empty and wonderfully quiet, and the complex itself is peaceful and well maintained. We had a spacious apartment for six, with terraces all around. It's less than 10 minutes from the beach and close to Ayamonte, Portugal, and other places to visit. The one issue was the refrigerator. It didn't cool properly and food spoiled, so it needs replacing.

We’ve stayed several times in a ground-floor apartment with a garden, and those are especially nice. They stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter, and having your own patch of lawn is lovely. The residential complex is quiet, pleasant, well kept, and in a great location.

The house was meticulously maintained, and we were glad we chose a ground-floor apartment. Its garden and lovely terrace were perfect for breakfast, lunch, and other meals. The residential complex has a pool and children’s playground, and it’s near beaches and golf courses. It’s an ideal place for a relaxing break, with a privileged climate and an authenticity I haven’t found elsewhere on the Costa del Sol.
