PLAYAMARINA

We had an amazing family holiday. The food, staff, service, facilities, and cleanliness were all great, and the animation team made my little one’s 11th birthday really special. Big thanks to Marta, David, Cristian, and Virginia for that. Roberto at reception was very helpful, too, and Juan, Manuel, and the lovely, charismatic Patricia at the bar made us feel welcome. We’d definitely come back!

The pool was one of my favorite parts of our stay. It was clean, well kept, and had a couple of slides for the children, with sun loungers freely available. Around the back there’s also a children’s play area and an outdoor bar. The beach is a lovely three-minute walk down the road, and the small port town is about 15 minutes away. There’s a small mall 10 minutes away, plus a supermarket and gift shop next door to the hotel. We stayed for seven days and six nights. Check-in was quick, though we had a bit of a language issue. The entrance is grand and spacious, but the main area could use a fresh coat of paint.

The apartment was a very good place to stay, with a scenic promenade nearby for morning or evening walks and a few market stalls to browse. Our two-bedroom place had a dishwasher and washing machine, which was a nice surprise. There was no kettle, as is usually provided, so remember to bring a travel one. At first we thought it was noisy at night, then realized the security shutters were banging in the wind. Pulling them up fixed the noise.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and room service was good. Staff tried hard to meet our needs, too. The view is exceptional if you pay extra for a room at the back of the resort. The food was mediocre, often not well seasoned and seemed to be partly premade, I guess.
