Breakfast was disappointing for the price, especially with no decent bread. The bigger problem was Room VI. I arrived late and exhausted, and the cigarette smell in there was so strong I couldn’t stay. Reception said every room in my category was taken, and the only option they offered was to pay another €30 for an upgrade. I had to accept. Try to avoid Room VI.

The staff were so warm and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a small, lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and a really cozy feel. There are nice bodegas very close by, too. Definitely worth a try when you’re visiting La Rioja.

The pool looked lovely, and the bar and lounge were beautiful, though they only serve breakfast there. The grounds, rooms, and other spaces are gorgeous and decorated with a lot of care. I took off a star because there’s no A/C. I should’ve checked beforehand, but at this price and level of luxury, the lack of it felt a bit odd.

The back courtyard was a lovely spot to sit and unwind, and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful on the Camino de Santiago. The rooms are amazing, as you can see in the pictures I took, and the staff were excellent throughout my stay. I highly recommend it.

The peaceful surroundings are great for long walks, and I especially liked the spacious private terrace with its nice view. The whole property has a lot of character. The TV seems rather small for the room, though. I wouldn’t have picked lime green for the walls, and some of the paintings’ looks can be a bit scary.
