We were passing through on our way to Portugal and stayed for one night. The hotel is near the bus station, with shops and supermarkets close by. Our room was clean, spacious, and fine, and the hotel was quiet. The only snag was that the previous guest had left the safe locked. We told management, but fortunately didn’t need to use it. We ate there too, and liked the menu and drink selection. Breakfast was very good, with lots to choose from, and the price was reasonable.

The price was really good for what you get, and the restaurant food was good, though a bit more expensive than I expected. The pool looks bigger in the photos, and the room style feels like the 90s. Staff barely speak English.

The hotel restaurant was a pleasant surprise, especially the fish and chips. We did have no towels on our last night. Booking.com wouldn’t let us make changes when we booked through them, and then tried to blame the hotel. The hotel itself is functional.

We’d be happy to come back. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and it smells lovely as soon as you walk in. Breakfast is good, though next time we’ll cross the road for breakfast and an evening meal at restaurant Roma, which was really good.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the location was good. We also appreciated the free parking. Our room was spacious and clean. The hairdryer didn’t work, but reception fixed it after I mentioned it. I still wouldn’t have used it because the noises it made didn’t feel safe. The WiFi was unreliable, and the pool could have been cleaner. It was patched up, with lots of mosaic tiles missing or stuck back messily. There was a restaurant, but it was only used for breakfast; meals were served in the onsite cafe, where the choice was limited and portions could have been bigger. One more thing: when leaving the underground car park, the exit button isn’t clearly marked. It’s at the top of the slope, before the gate.
