Picking up and returning the key was very well organized, and the apartment had the basics: a stove, hotplates, dishes, a table, and chairs. It’s right in the center, close to shops, restaurants, the sea, and train and metro stops for getting around Barcelona. But reaching the third-floor apartment means climbing extremely steep stairs. There’s no wardrobe, terrace, or place to dry wet clothes. The kitchenette has just one small window, so airing out the room is difficult, and there isn’t much light. The curtains looked like they hadn’t been washed in years, and there was a lot of dust. The sheets were changed every three days, which was fine with us, until the last change brought a supposedly washed sheet with dried blood on it. Completely unacceptable.

We paid for two nights but left after a terrible experience, and managed to find a room at a proper hotel for the same price. Booking.com calls this tiny room an “appartement” and shows balcony photos, but there was no balcony when we arrived. Turning on the bathroom light set off ventilation that sounded like an airplane, and the heater smelled awful. Hot water lasted only five minutes. A neighboring room had a party with lots of local people, and there was no one around to complain to. We couldn’t sleep at all. This place is a joke. Stay away from this trap. Run from it!

The free WiFi worked well, and the location was convenient, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. But our ground-floor room was far too small for four people and nothing like the photos. We stayed for three days in room one. It had two double beds crammed into the kitchenette area, with only basic items, so there was no room to dine. The bathroom constantly smelled of bad drains. Toilet paper had to go in a basket, which would have been fine if it had been emptied daily, but it wasn’t. The shower itself was okay, but there wasn’t enough hot water for four people. A sign said two people could shower and it would reheat in 15 minutes; in reality it took more like 45. The noisy front door also disturbed us on the ground floor. The drain smell needs fixing, and the room isn’t suitable for four. Would I return? No.

We came all the way from Southeast Asia for this lively atmosphere, and loved it. People on the shopping street were always chatting and laughing as they walked by, and the street noise didn’t bother us at all. Our unit was a fully equipped two-bedroom apartment, great for a family with kids. Badalona beach is only steps away and much quieter and more peaceful than the touristy Barcelonetta. There’s halal food dotted around the area, including a place right next door. The metro and train stations are close, and Sagrada Família is about a 15-minute metro ride away. We loved this place so much 🥰

Great spot near shops, restaurants, and the beach. The room was clean, modern, and just right for two people. We’ll book it again next year for sure. Highly recommend!
