Sant Adrià Urban Suites by gaiarooms

We really enjoyed staying here, and it had almost everything needed for a good visit. There are affordable cafes and restaurants nearby, and it’s fairly well located with easy metro access and not too far from central Barcelona. We were there for three nights and didn’t see any daily cleaning, so I wasn’t sure if that was meant to be included. We also wished there had been a kettle for making tea, coffee, or just hot water.

The metro link is close, and the location is good. The price is high, though it still seems like comparatively good value when places to stay in Barcelona are so expensive.

I ended up booking another hotel because staying here just wasn’t possible. The room was in awful shape from check-in: hairs on the bed, stains on the bedding, dirty floors and surfaces, and a bin that hadn’t been emptied. There was also a rotten banana smell throughout the room. After I complained, they moved me, but the second room was just as dirty, with hair in the bed and unclean surfaces. I had to complain twice before anyone took it seriously, and I cleaned and disinfected parts of the room myself just to feel somewhat comfortable. There was a safety issue too. You can only get into the building and rooms with mobile phone keys. I asked several times for a physical key at check-in and was refused, so during a power outage I wouldn’t have been able to get into the hotel or my room. No proper solution was offered. My emails are being ignored, and I haven’t received even a partial refund or compensation, despite not using the room for a full day because of the conditions. This was completely unacceptable and fell below even basic standards. I strongly advise people to avoid this hotel.

Very clean!
