Hostel Albergue Baionamar

I was walking the Camino and paid for a bed, but ended up unable to stay because the host hadn’t left even a mattress for me. He’d sent a message through Booking saying he could wait until 7 PM. I didn’t see it, and he never called or tried to contact me another way. The service was terrible. Worst hostel experience of my life, 0/10.

Other than the street noise, it was really nice and clean. We were in a small room with just six beds and two couples, which worked out perfectly. With the window open, though, you could hear cars going by and people talking outside.

Jaime, the owner, was so friendly and helpful, and speaks excellent English. Nothing was any trouble for him. The hostel feels almost new, with only 16 bunks, good privacy and lockers you can lock for valuables. The showers were great, with plenty of hot water.

There’s a bus stop right across the street, with buses to wherever you want to go. Great hostel and an excellent place to stop. I’d definitely stay again.
