Hotel Pinzon

The staff were very nice to me, and there’s a great burger bar restaurant on the main floor with a very large patio. A burger with fries was 9€, there was a great selection of drinks, and the service was fast. I stayed for five days last October while renovations were underway at my home. The hotel is in the center of Baiona, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Rooms are small but very clean. A patio view room was 42€, while the larger marina view rooms cost more. The room had a tub and shower combo, which is great.

Room 102 has an amazing view of the coast and castle. In the morning, the sun shines right onto your face when you open the curtains. Hard to do better, I think. The room was clean, and everything was just great for a short stay.

The location is good, but arrival was confusing. There’s usually no one at reception, so you have to go to the bar, and several employees didn’t seem to know the process very well. The rooms are acceptable, though very dated, and incredibly noisy because there’s no insulation from outside sounds. Wi-Fi is advertised, but it doesn’t reach the rooms, so it’s useless. If you want a good night’s sleep, look elsewhere. Given all that, the price is barely justifiable. I wouldn’t come back or recommend it to anyone.

Good staff, clean rooms, and good value for money. Excellent location. I’ll use it again.
