We’ve eaten all over Asturias and Galicia, but this is the best restaurant in Northern Spain. The Austurian food is the best we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. It’s a lovely family, so friendly, with great service. I wish we had a restaurant like this in Orlando, Fl.

It was limpet season, so our drink came with a tapa and we got to try this seasonal dish. Manolo was a wonderful host, and the service was cheerful and friendly.

The €25.50 set menu included several starters, main courses, and dessert. We were a group having lunch at Casa Roces, and all of us were delighted. The pote, fabada, tripe, and stuffed peppers we ordered to start were delicious and well prepared. For mains, we tried stewed kid goat, stuffed onions, and oxtail, all homemade, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Manolo, the owner, was incredibly friendly and professional. He showed us the beautiful back garden and explained that he had hand-carved many of the wooden pieces brought from Brazil. Filtered water costs €1, while tap water is free. A place with a special charm, definitely a 10 out of 10.
