Casa Particular

We left feeling very mixed, and won’t repeat the stay. A few weeks ago we booked a night out with friends for one of their birthdays. As agreed with the owner, we had a snack by the pool in the afternoon, joined by six others who left after two hours. The owner kept walking around the area where we were gathered. We knew he lived in the house, but didn’t expect him to be on top of us during everything we did. It felt like he was spying on us and as if we were doing something wrong, though we weren’t. At 9 in the morning he rudely made us leave the room, going in and taking off the sheets. The worst part came the next morning. He’d said there was no problem with one more girl from the group staying, and even invited her to stay. Then he asked us for €20 for her stay and for everyone’s IDs. We paid without any problem, but that wasn’t what we’d agreed. We felt scammed.

We won’t be back. At no point did he respect social distancing or wear a mask due to Covid. Dust buildup gave my wife an allergic reaction, and we’d gone for a weekend but left the next morning because he kept making noise. I suppose it was so we’d turn off the air conditioning. Otherwise, we can’t understand why someone would turn lights on and off and raise and lower blinds at almost 3:00 AM. We didn’t feel comfortable, since he was there the whole time and made us feel like we had to ask permission.

Everything was impeccable, the breakfast was delicious, and the company was great. They’re adorable and treated me like family. Great hosts, and even better people. I 100% recommend stopping here. Thank you so much for everything!

The place is nice, and the host is a fantastic person. Cleanliness was very poor, though. It needs a lot of improvement in that area to be rented as accommodation.
