The good points are the views and being close to hiking trails in the Sierra de Gredos. There are several things that need attention, though: the beds, the noisy boiler in one bedroom that makes sleep impossible, and the washing machine that sometimes won't spin. The kitchen needs cleaning and repairs from wear. The barbecue area needs a roof and lighting, since it's impossible to use at night, and the cars could use a garage or carport because the frosts are quite severe. I only spoke with the owner by phone, so I can't say much about her. Someone else handed over the house and was in such a hurry that we didn't get a chance to say anything.

The owner is a delight, and the whole experience was unforgettable. At the gateway to the Gredos Mountains, the house is welcoming, spacious, warm, and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed gathering around the spectacular round kitchen table, talking and laughing while still close together. It's very well located, and I'd highly recommend staying here. A great spot for hiking, visiting the Gredos Mountains, and looking at the stars at night. The room was basic but cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
