Motel Cancun Barbadas Ourense

I'm in the Canary Islands and this has me laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣 It's great, though. The room service is fantastic. Feels like going to Bagdad, but in Galicia 🤣🤣🤣 And this is loading and unloading, not an IKEA warehouse 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We asked to switch rooms and were told the motel was full. On a Monday, with 34 rooms? Hard to believe. We've stayed here before and know there are renovated rooms with wall-mounted air conditioning, so being given this relic as though it were a favor was frustrating. It ruined our night. The room seemed straight out of the 1950s. The air conditioner was prehistoric, louder than a tractor and completely useless. With 35 degrees Celsius outside, it blew hot air. We couldn't open the ground-floor window because we didn't feel safe doing that in that location, so we spent the night sweating in a musty oven with low-budget horror movie decor. We stayed just one night, or rather, endured a sleepless one. It was one of the worst experiences we've had in years. The rooms are old and poorly maintained, the temperature was unbearable, and staff offered no solution. This motel needs a complete renovation, or someone should have the decency to close rooms that don't meet minimum habitability standards. Never again.

The room feels old-fashioned, the TV is tiny, and the air conditioning is really noisy. They advertise 24-hour room service, but when I asked for drinks, I was told to collect them from reception.

It was a quiet, relaxing break, just what we wanted. The bed and pillow were comfortable, and there wasn't any noise. They even brought us two lattes for €2 each. Great prices for August. We'll be back.
