We were robbed inside the apartment on the fourth day, and it left us with no confidence in staying here. They took around €700 in cash, sunglasses, a mobile phone, and a camera, while leaving the apartment’s own things alone, including the TV. Our belongings had been rummaged through. There was no sign of forced entry, and they hadn’t come in through the windows since this was a second-floor apartment. If nothing was forced, how did they get in? With a key, presumably. The apartment seems to pass between several people, including the owner, manager, and cleaner, and that doesn’t make me feel secure. I hope future guests have better luck and that the locks have been changed, though that may not help if someone with access takes advantage and gets in. That’s all I have to say.
