The worst part was checking in. They ask you to call before arrival, then leave you waiting. We stood on the street with our luggage for an hour late at night after coming from the airport, calling again and again. Different people picked up and seemed to know nothing about our arrival. Each time, we were told someone would be there in ten minutes. The place itself feels like it hasn’t been renovated in ages, with broken kitchen utensils and a kitchen and bathroom in poor shape. I got the impression they think they can charge whatever they want because people will come to Barcelona anyway. They don’t seem to care about guests. Never again.

The listing was misleading about both the extra costs and the photos. The apartment was in very poor condition and uncomfortable, and we waited over an hour for the keys. Then at 09:45 am someone was knocking at the door to kick us out.

We were a family of four there for a week over Easter. The location was fantastic, with plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby, the beach five minutes away on foot, the metro about ten minutes away, and a good bike rental place around eight minutes away. Email communication with the staff was easy and really friendly. Getting the key meant going to an office in central Barcelona, which was manageable but a bit awkward, and their taxi service was expensive. Bed linen and towels cost extra. The Ikea furnishings were okay, though some had been damaged by previous guests. The kitchen was basic but fine.
