Posada Valle de Güemes

The rooms are nice and modern, in a small, quaint town. Since it's so far from everything and guests are out walking the Camino all day, it was disappointing there was no kettle with tea or coffee in the rooms 😞 You can buy tea or coffee downstairs at the restaurant where breakfast is served. There was still a lot of noise at 17:36, sounded like maintenance 🙄 🫤😵‍💫

The beer was cold, the rooms were clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We stayed here while doing the Camino, and the rooms had been recently renovated. There were great views and an infinity pool too, though we didn't use it. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

The village is tiny, and this place sits right in its center, by the pretty church and, I think, the only restaurant. The food there was great, and I saw lots of locals eating there. I was traveling solo in July, while most guests seemed to be couples having a romantic day. The owner was attentive and thoughtful about helping me with my forgotten item, and I'd happily return. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, a real treat after a long walk. My room was tasteful, the bathroom had a jacuzzi, and there was a terrace and pool in the common area. You can stroll around the tranquil surroundings too. The view from my window was stunning. I highly recommend it.

After a long day on the Camino, my luxurious room was very welcome. The food was great too, and as a vegetarian I was glad to have something other than tortilla for the first time. A lovely place.
