The area felt safe, with bars a couple of streets away, though much of it looked run down. The receptionist was very friendly, but spoke little English. There was no breakfast, and I couldn't buy water there. My main hassle was reaching the parking by car. You can get to it by escalator, but driving there means circling a few blocks, and the signs stop before you arrive. Some locals helped me find it. I'd call ahead and ask for directions straight to the hotel parking before checking in. The room has AC and looks recently furnished. The bathroom is older, and although the shower works, you can't adjust the temperature. Scaffolding in front of the window looks unpleasant and made me uneasy about leaving it open. At first I thought the room was clean, but in daylight I changed my mind. The electric lights are very dim.

The parking was a mess, and there was no breakfast or even coffee. The bathroom wasn't really clean, and the bed and mattress felt like they'd been used for decades. The place seemed old and worn. One of my worst hotel experiences. Never again. Need any more comment?

The parking fee of €18 felt like a ripoff. We were offered three rooms: the first smelled of an ashtray and engine degreaser, the next didn't have a double bed, and the third smelled like a scented candle shop.

We stopped here on the way somewhere else, and it did the job. The restaurant was permanently closed when we visited in September 2024. Parking is below the hotel, but you have to reach it from another road, eleven floors down.

The terrace was a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal or snack, and there was great food. Shops and the Metro are easy to reach on foot, with a ride to Bilbao Centre. The staff were lovely across reception, the bar, and housekeeping. Rooms were comfortable in both winter and summer, and it's 100% kid friendly. I'd truly recommend it for a relaxing break. 🤗💖
