Casa Os Batans

The staff are so friendly and happy to explain what to see inland and along the coast. The rooms are lovely, with a small bathroom and shower, and you can request breakfast. There’s also a garden and a dining room for guests, with dishes and a sink. Set beside old fulling mills and watermills, it’s a quiet place to unwind, with stone tables under the trees, and a good base for exploring the Costa da Morte.

Mari Carmen made us feel completely at home, and showed my youngest son all the animals as soon as we arrived. He didn’t want to leave! The setting is beautiful and feels magical, and the location is superb. Everything was spotless, and breakfast was generous and excellent. We had a very happy vacation at Os Batans. We’ll definitely come back, highly recommended.

We had a really generous breakfast, with toast, ham, cheese, fresh orange juice, plenty of coffee and milk, plus bananas, nectarines, pears, and apples. The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and there were two kinds of pillows. The shower was comfortable too. It’s a quiet spot beside some lovely watermills, and very inexpensive. They also have rooms with two mattresses. Highly recommend it.

Carme was attentive to all the details, and the room was spacious and very clean. The mattress was comfortable; they gave us high pillows and offered lower ones to the others. Breakfast was good, with fruit, fresh juice, and sweet or savory choices. It’s a peaceful area right by the Mosquetín flour mills. For these covid times, there are only three or four rooms, with entrances from a corridor directly outside, plus an outdoor terrace. Thanks, Carme!
