Camping Cañada Catena

The restaurant has an excellent menu, and I’d definitely recommend staying a few days. The setting is spectacular and peaceful, with a large pool that stays very clean all summer.

The waiters and reception team were fantastic. Carlos, Angel, Javi, and everyone else, we really appreciated the friendliness, good manners, kind service, and care. Ten out of ten for that. It’s a simple, welcoming, family-friendly campsite, peaceful too, and the service feels personal. Beautiful people make the world better. Warm regards from two people from Almería.

The tapas are my favorite, all 100% homemade, and there’s plenty of other homemade food to choose from. It’s a great spot for a beer on a summer evening, with a lovely location among the pine trees. Carlos, our waiter, was wonderful, attentive, and friendly. Just don’t expect the fox in the pines to come visit you!

The pool is nice, the scenery is beautiful, and the restaurant is good, but the rest of the campsite left a lot to be desired. Bathrooms weren’t cleaned daily and there was very little shade. Guests of the bar and restaurant used the campsite for parking, so those of us in tents couldn’t rest. Cars kept coming and going until 2 a.m., even though campsites are usually quiet by 11 p.m. and cars aren’t allowed inside. At night, bar staff walked around shouting and starting their cars as they left. That was pathetic. I won’t come back. We stayed for a few days over the August bank holiday.
