Hotel Cerro la Nina

We had a lovely view from our fairly spacious room, and the pool had plenty of space and sunbeds. The staff were so friendly. Breakfast offered lots of options, and the restaurant served really good food with plenty to choose from, including a daily menu. A lovely stay.

The views were amazing, and the outdoor area was lovely for relaxing by the pool. Our room was spacious, and it was nice that breakfast started at 08am. A few things could be better: coffee and tea makers in the rooms, single beds that stay together instead of separating so easily, and an indoor and outdoor play area for children.

The views were top notch, the staff were amazing, and the breakfast buffet was incredible. We came as a family with boisterous toddlers, and it was nice that nearly every other guest seemed to be part of a family or family-friendly group, so we didn't have to tiptoe around. The staff were so sweet with the kids, too. We’re picky travelers and expected to find some downsides after reading a few reviews, but the place was fantastic. Dinner was expensive and nothing special, though the kids' menu worked fine for us. We chose to eat at the hotel to enjoy the views. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back! One note for the hotel: it would be great if the rooms could be locked from the inside. We couldn't keep the kids in the room without barricading the door.

The view was the one good thing. I paid €175.50 per night for a single room in this precarious hotel, and I can't understand how it has 4 stars. I won't recommend it to anyone, and my Google review will be very negative. We had two completely sleepless nights. Noise came through from the adjoining rooms, so there was no privacy. The beds were very small twins that separated whenever we moved, and the fridge didn't work in my room or in any of the other three rooms we booked. The shower and sink were separated by a tiny opening. Towels were extremely worn, breakfast bread was stale, and the fruit was rotten. Hygiene was poor in the pool and on all the terrace chair cushions. There were large spiders on the bedroom walls. The road was narrow and unpaved in some places. The elevator didn't reach the garage, so we had to carry our suitcases up seven steps. When our hands were full, we had to hold the door with one hand and push it with our bodies. I wanted to offer an aperitif to my group of six and asked for bottles of champagne, but they didn't have any. There were only two red and two white wine brands, which wasn't much choice. I ordered two bottles and had to carry everything to the table myself, including all six glasses. Ridiculous for the price and the hotel's star rating.
