Casa Poy

That familiar sound of the Galician accent on Televisión de Galicia made for a relaxing end to the day, while the village outside went quiet. It’s a small hotel in the village, simple but full of warm, genuine touches. The rooms have a cozy rustic feel, more like home than tourist lodging. Breakfast was one of the nicest surprises: fresh baked bread, fragrant coffee, and sliced cheese that was humble but full of tradition and local flavor. The place doesn’t pretend to be anything more than it is, and that’s exactly why I’d want to return. Great for switching off and enjoying a real rural atmosphere.

We spent 15 days here as a family, and Casa Poy was such a find. We ate there on several days, and the food was spectacular. Carmen is a great cook. Begoña was so affectionate and attentive, and even remembered what we liked. The man of the house was always checking that we were comfortable. They’re a wonderful family, and I can’t explain how welcome they made us feel. You’re all so great, it was a pleasure meeting you. Hope to come back soon. A big hug.

It felt like home. The service was excellent, and the hostel was clean and comfortable.
