It's a useful stop, since there aren't many choices further down the road until Hervas, about 45 minutes south. If you're going north, try the small restaurant called GOLF or LA PLATA at the north exit of town. This place is south of Béjar and has a small hotel with a well-equipped bar and good staff, but the restaurant didn't leave much of an impression. I've eaten there three times when friends invited me, and I'd steer clear of the restaurant. The tapas are a decent way to recharge, though. It was nicely decorated and remodeled years ago.
