The host was patient and helpful, and the place had a simple, welcoming feel. We had four dishes between us, including an omelette, fries, and a breaded cutlet, plus a small beer and a small water. It came to €15.50. I'd rate it 8/10. Lazingaratagiringiro.

The homemade lunch was spectacular and really well priced. Afterward, try the homemade Resoli, a smooth coffee liqueur with herbs. The hostel itself is peaceful and well kept, and the gentleman running it was kind and attentive throughout our stay. If you're taking the guided tour of the Castle, with tickets available online, leave the rest of the day open and plan to eat here. We'll come back with friends.

After four days cycling the Al-Ballut route through Los Pedroches, we arrived here and were immediately taken by the setting. It's beside the Fuente del Pilar and close to Belalcázar Castle, with a stone bridge leading in. Really lovely surroundings. The staff were outstanding, so friendly and helpful with information about the town and nearby area. Just keep in mind it's a hostel rather than a hotel. There were four of us in a six-person room, with linens, towels, a toilet and shower, and a wardrobe with hangers. Everything, in the room and around the property, was impeccably clean. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Dinner was a highlight too. My secreto was delicious, and my companions enjoyed their meals just as much. The portions were so big that we couldn't finish an extra dish we ordered to share. In the morning they made fresh coffee in a coffee maker when we asked, and we had muffins made in Belalcázar, if I understood right. They were so good we ordered another coffee and muffin. I'd happily return.

The food was really good and very cheap. I stayed overnight while doing AlBallut, and the owner was a very kind man who kept everything in good condition. For the price, the hostel is in good shape. I recommend it.

The view from the castle entrance is beautiful, and the people were very kind. Accommodation was comfortable and had everything needed, with good prices for both the stay and the food. They also have a Camino de Santiago stamp.
