El Salto is a beautiful building, a former water mill that’s being restored to make it comfortable for guests. Fernando was a wonderful host and made us dinner with fresh vegetables from the huge garden out back. I loved staying here and highly recommend it.

After a long day, it was lovely to cool my tired feet in the cold stream and have a hot shower. The host is a sweet, helpful man who makes you feel welcome, cooks home-style meals with vegetables from his garden, and provides beds with colorful blankets.

I’m so glad I got the chance to stay at El Salto. The property is lovely, and Fernando was a very kind, wonderful host. He even made us a delicious meal using food from the garden on the property. If you get the opportunity, I highly recommend staying at his lovely albergue.

The host has done a great job bringing this building back from a very poor state and restoring it to its current glory. It’s a wonderful place with an amazing history, and the host was friendly and accommodating. A real gem that most people will miss.
