The setting is lovely, with beautiful nature around it, but that was the only part we enjoyed. The rooms were very basic and the staff weren't friendly. Breakfast was the worst we've had after staying at more than 200 hotels. We paid over 120 euros a night, including the extra breakfast charge on booking.com, yet it was brought to us in the evening: two pieces of bread, a supermarket pastry, orange juice and milk. We thought there had been a mix-up, but the host said that was our breakfast. When we asked for eggs in the morning, he said 7 a.m. was too early for him to provide them.

The owner gave us such a warm welcome, and we had a really comfortable stay. It's incredibly peaceful and beautiful all around. We'd love to come back.

A sweet little place for getting away from madrid. The hosts made us feel so welcome and were happy to help. We'll be back :)

The cottages are charming, in good shape, and everything worked. Ours had a kitchenette, fridge, decent shower room, sitting room and bedroom. There’s plenty of secure parking, and outside it’s quiet with lots of nature around. I came to Jose-Andreas place after driving 250 miles from the North East. He’s a great host, and the place is pure tranquility. I would’ve stayed for a meal if I’d had more time, but Jose-Andreas’s coffee got me back on the road quickly.

Call ahead, and bring the kids. The owner was so friendly and even arranged a special pasta meal for them, which made it easy for parents to relax. The food is lovely, just like the view across the Olive orchard. The spinach and cod were spectacular.
