Great spot for family apartments, with everything on site. There’s a supermarket and a bank machine, and the beach, shops, restaurants, and train station are close by.

We had an enjoyable stay, and prices were very reasonable for the apartment and everything around it, from the on-site supermarket to restaurants in town. The pool was large, clean, and had plenty of room around it for sunbathing. Sunbeds cost €5 a day and came with a cushion. The person running them was efficient, friendly, and helpful. A few things could have gone much more smoothly. The airport arrival instructions looked clear at first, but the transfer company logo was tiny and underneath another logo with a different name, so it took us a long time to find the stand. The ride from the airport was short and pleasant. At check-in, the receptionist said he couldn’t help us and told us to check our email, but there were no instructions in it. He said we had to go to their office in Malaga. When we called the number in the email, they told us their office was actually in the apartment building. I explained that to the receptionist, and luckily someone from the holiday company arrived. Our key and all the information we needed were at reception under our names. The apartment was clean, tidy, spacious, and had a great view, but the WiFi didn’t work. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it was frustrating. The next day we went to the office, which was meant to be open from 10am to 2.30pm, but nobody was there from 1pm onwards. We asked about WiFi and got a WhatsApp number for queries at any time. They said it would be fixed within 24 hours, but it never was, and one staff member seemed annoyed when we asked a third time. Our WhatsApp messages never got a reply. We really enjoyed the holiday, but the confusing instructions and poor communication made for avoidable frustration and set a poor tone. I’d recommend the location and apartment, and I wouldn’t tell anyone to avoid the organisation, just to be aware. A few changes could improve the customer service and help them earn five-star reviews.

Such a lovely place with great apartments. I can’t wait to come back.

Benal Beach is a great place to stay. There’s a supermarket, laundrette, restaurant, bar, swimming pools, and extensive gardens. One pool has a swim-up bar. The site has 24-hour security and the staff are great all round.
