Hotel Best Tritón

You can step through a gate straight onto the beach promenade, and the front of the hotel is on the town's main road, with plenty of bars, shops and cafes just outside. There's a large outdoor terrace and pool, a kids' pool with slides, a playground, and an indoor pool or possibly a covered outdoor one. The evening entertainment has a lovely stage and show area with a fully stocked bar. The place is modern, clean and well kept.

The room was a little small for three people, but the view was excellent. It's a nice hotel in a good location. The spa was unfortunately closed during our visit. I'd recommend booking a Premium room so you can have breakfast and dinner at La Braseria, which is much better than the regular El Mercado restaurant.

The location is right by the beach and just a short walk from the Marina. The hotel was beautiful, with impeccable decor, gorgeous, well-equipped rooms, and it was exceptionally clean. The cleaners were lovely and the rooms were cleaned daily. The safe was free, which was a nice touch. We felt very comfortable there, and it was one of the first holidays where I didn't really want to come home. We hope to book again next year if our IVF journey is successful, hopefully with a plus one! Our arrival was frustrating. We'd paid more than a year in advance for a premium room and got there around 11am. We were told check-in would be between 3 and 4pm. At about 3pm, other people's rooms were ready but ours wasn't. We came back at 4pm and the rest of our party had rooms, but we still didn't. A woman said to sit down and she'd call when it was ready, and that she'd check with housekeeping to hurry things along. We waited another 30 minutes, then she disappeared. When we asked a man at reception, he said the room was ready. There was no apology, and if we hadn't asked, we might have sat there all day. The staff were nice, though they didn't really say anything as you passed them. I'm quite introverted, so that was fine for me. The room could have used an iron and ironing board, and the fridge was too warm to keep things cold. Night entertainment started very late, and it would've been nice to have bingo or a quiz beforehand to get people warmed up. Bar service was slow at night. Maybe they had staffing issues because it was outside peak season, but I'm not sure. On our third night, the neighbours had their TV blasting all night and kept us awake. I reported it on the TUI app. Someone did go up to the room, but for some reason knocked on our door instead. I'm not sure if they spoke to the neighbours or if they left the next night, but we didn't hear the TV again.

Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were the worst part. The staff were rude and unprofessional. One time, they effectively pushed us from our table when service time was over, although we were just sitting quietly and working. Another staff member started cleaning the table before I'd finished. It felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. We waited four hours before we could get into our room. When we finally did, it had two separate single beds instead of the double bed we'd clearly reserved as a couple. We raised it, but it wasn't properly fixed. Reception staff weren't helpful or informative. In a hotel this large, we expected clear directions and assistance, but often got vague answers, and sometimes the staff seemed unwilling to answer direct questions. The poor communication and lack of courtesy made the stay very uncomfortable. The service was far below what paying guests should expect.
