This place has a lot of character, and the family are welcoming, maybe a little too keen to chat by the fire for hours for my plans. As another reviewer mentioned, getting in from the parking lot can be tricky after a heavier snowfall. During my stay, the village staff didn’t clear the snow or salt the path. Their daughter lets her dog roam around the area and isn’t very friendly toward visitors. If she comes across you and doesn’t like you, you’ll have to call the house. I don’t think it’s a bad place, but because it’s a bit unusual, I’d say it suits a family getaway.
