Very Good Featured review

8/10
For under 100, the value was hard to beat, though of course a review depends on what you pay for the room. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the family rooms were practical and comfortable, and the hotel was clean. There are a couple of restaurants right nearby, but in Spain you won't find a kitchen open before 8pm. There were a few drawbacks: no AC, so nights got rough. With the windows open, daylight came in early, and with them shut the room was stifling. Soundproofing was almost nonexistent, and breakfast was very basic, mostly sweets. Those things are normal for a two-star hotel, though, so I'm not criticizing it too harshly.

Free parking right beside the hotel was really handy, and the location is central for getting to lots of places in Picos de Europa. The apartment worked very well for our family with kids, and the gentleman at reception was kind, informative, and helpful. The ladies at the restaurant were always smiling too. We'd definitely come back.

The staff were helpful and the room was nice enough, but it got stuffy overnight. You can't open the window while the blackout curtains are closed. Breakfast costs extra, and ordering it a la carte makes it quite expensive.
