The showers are the best I’ve come across at any campsite or marina so far. You start the water when you’re ready, set the temperature, then turn it off when you’re done, with no annoying push button. They’re also fully separated, so water from the next shower doesn’t splash through. A couple more hooks would make them perfect. The whole motorhome site is well organised and spotless, and the facilities block is among the best. Well done, Camping Tauro.

It’s a very quiet place, with mostly older seasonal visitors. Benicàssim is sleepy in winter and there isn’t much to do, so it suits anyone looking for a peaceful, well-kept retreat more than local activity. Camping Tauro is impressively organised, making check-in and everyday life smooth. The pitches and facilities are spotless, and it’s clear cleanliness is a priority here.

I’ve stayed here several times and it’s still my favourite campground in Benicassim. It’s close to both the beach and the Skydiving Dropzone, and the service has always been impeccable. When my camper parking plans fell through, the team found a solution, even on the holiday of 25.12. They arranged a spot for my Caravan at their other Caravan parking place around the corner for a week while I flew to Morocco. That’s amazing service. I’ve already booked to come back in February.

The pool, bar and staff were lovely, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The pitches were packed so tightly there was no air in the park, and our camper fan wouldn’t fit on the pitch. Behind us were people who seemed likely to stay for months, with the TV blaring in Spanish. It felt just like a prison camp. Awful.

A few minutes on foot gets you to the beach, with a good choice of cafés and restaurants there. The family-run campsite is about 3 km from Benicassim town, and there’s a good bus service. There’s also a restaurant and bar on site, serving meals Wednesday-Sunday. Highly recommend.
