Apartamento Acintur 7B

I still haven’t had my deposit back, and it’s been three weeks. The agency replies very slowly and gives a different excuse each time, always saying the money is on its way. I’ll have to contact OMIC to recover it. This has been a really unpleasant situation. They also never mentioned the security deposit in advance, so I was unexpectedly €200 short of spending money. That may not sound like much to everyone, but it matters a lot to a family of five.

The apartment itself is spacious and basically fine, and the common areas are pleasant, with a private area and a pool. The location is excellent, almost right on the beach. Still, a Booking.com rating should reflect more than the location: service, cleanliness, and condition need work. There’s no service during the stay, including no cleaning. Collecting the keys was a hassle. You have to go about 1,200 metres from the apartment, which is a nightmare with luggage and no car, especially with the street under construction. The apartment smelled strongly of tobacco when we arrived, and we couldn’t clear the smell during our week there. We had to repair the broken TV antenna ourselves. There was hair on the sheets, the pillows smelled bad, the clothesline was dirty, and the laundry area had unacceptable rust stains. The extractor fan and a bathroom outlet were broken, one bedroom’s sliding doors wouldn’t close, and the broom was covered in hair and lint. Cleanliness and maintenance are the main problems. If those were sorted out, it would be a great place to recommend.

The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious enclosed terrace, and lovely views. It’s centrally located, very close to the beach, and has secure parking. We were two adults with a baby, staying February 9-17. We’ll definitely return.

Really nice apartments in a great location, though the parking is very bad.
